When we have a client with the following condition: brain tumours

Signs and symptoms for brain tumours

  • New, persistent headaches – which are sometimes worse in the morning or when bending over or coughing
  • Persistent nausea and vomiting
    Drowsiness
  • Vision problems – such as blurred vision, double vision, loss of part of the visual field (hemianopia), and temporary vision loss
  • Epileptic fits (seizures) – which may affect the whole body, or you may just have a twitch in one area

Description

Primary brain tumors can be either malignant (contain cancer cells) or benign (do not contain cancer cells).

A primary brain tumor is a tumor which begins in the brain tissue. If a cancerous tumor starts elsewhere in the body, it can spread cancer cells, which grow in the brain.

Some disorders, especially those that involve the blood supply to the brain such as brain tumours, are potentially, life threatening.

Is brain tumours contagious?
No, "brain tumours" is NOT contagious!
